Sheltered Housing

What is Sheltered Housing?

Sheltered Housing is for anyone who needs assistance to enable them to live more independently. For example, we invite applications from people who have difficulty coping because of old age, who have been made homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless, or whose accommodation is no longer suitable for them.

Who is the service for?

The service is for single adults or couples aged 55+. It works primarily with people of Jewish faith, culture and ethnicity.

How does it help?

By providing accommodation and a scheme manager on site, the service offers guidance in areas such as setting up and maintaining a home, claiming benefits and developing domestic skills. Additional guidance is provided to more vulnerable people to help them maintain their own tenancies. Assistance for people leaving hospital enables them to move to independent living.

The property is actually a single building with 23 one and two person 1 bedroom flats. Guest rooms are available on request.
